Commercial
As any business owner or investor knows, today’s business environment is complex. Whether it’s a neighborhood retail store, office complex, restaurant, industrial warehouse, hotel/motel, mixed-use property, apartment complex, religious facility, or another enterprise, every business is different and requires specialized knowledge and training. When valuing commercial real estate, it also requires specialized knowledge and additional education and experience. Only a State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser can appraise commercial properties. With this higher-level license, clients and market participants can have confidence that a SCGREA is equipped to evaluate and perform complex appraisal assignments and provide the expert advice needed to make informed decisions.
Commercial reports are typically prepared in a narrative format and are customized to the unique nature of the property being appraised. All appraisals are performed under the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), as well as any client-specific assignment conditions and, if applicable, any court-mandated conditions or government regulations.
